Ayar Labs raises USD 35 mln Series B financing

With the new investment, Ayar Labs said it aims to accelerate product development and commercialisation of its in-package optical interconnect (I/O) platform, as well as grow the company's footprint internationally. Founded in 2015, the company focuses on cost-effective silicon processing techniques to develop high speed, high density, low power optical based interconnect "chiplets" and multi-wavelength lasers to replace traditional electrical based I/O. These smart optical I/O chiplets enable SOC companies and system integrators to focus on their core function integration and process scaling
