Azteca Comunicaciones to launch IPTV service in Colombia

Azteca Comunicaciones plans to start offering IPTV services in the Colombian market in the short term, Prensario reports. The company also aims to launch an OTT platform in Colombia before the end of 2015, according to the report. Azteca Comunicaciones expects to generate revenues of USD 180 million in Colombia within the next three years, according to a previous report. Azteca Comunicaciones is a subsidiary of Mexican broadcaster TV Azteca. The firm has already completed the deployment of Colombia's fibre optic backbone.
