Baden-Wurttemberg triples funding for broadband expansion

The state government in Baden-Wurttemberg reports positive results from its broadband initiative II; before the launch in 2012, there were 700 communities with white spots in primary internet coverage, in 2014 there were only 200 communities remaining. In order to accelerate the broadband expansion further, the government has almost tripled the funds; it offers support for the planning and construction of high-speed and very high-speed networks, for instance.
