Baidu stops updating content on certain newsfeed channels in Baidu App

Baidu has announced that it has suspended updating its content on certain newsfeeds channels within Baidu App and conduct maintenance. The measure follows the directives released by Chinese regulators. China'a internet regulator, the Cyberspace Administration of China, ordered search engine Baidu to clean up improper information and stop the spread of "low-brow content", Reuters reports. Baidu expects the suspension to impact marketing services revenue related to the suspended channels.
