Bangladesh nears 89 mln internet subscribers in July

Bangladesh ended July with 88.68 million active internet subscribers, up from 87.79 million in June. The country's mobile internet base reached 82.91 million in July, up from 82.02 million in the previous month, according to a report from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). The fixed-line internet user base increased to 5.69 million in July, from 5.68 million in June, while the WiMAX subscriber base rose to 84,000 from 81,000 in June.
