Bangladesh to legalise interational VoIP by January

The Bangladeshi government is set to legalise international call termination through VoIP technology by January 2013. The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) is preparing to finalise the number of VoIP licensees by December, bdnews24.com reported online. Chairman Sunil Kanti Bose told bdnews24.com that the BTRC would finish evaluating applications either at the end of November or at the beginning of December and send them to the telecom ministry.The licences are likely to be issued in early January, he said. According to BTRC statistics, Bangladesh receives around 55-60
