Bangladeshi internet usage rises 15% in 9 months

Monday 22 April 2013 | 09:41 CET | News
Internet bandwidth usage has increased by 15 percent over the period of nine months from June last year to March 2013. The Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) attributed the rise from 30 Gbps to 45 Gbps from June 2012 to March 2013 to the volatile political situation, Dhaka Tribune reported. Bangladesh has more than 30 million internet users, according to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
