Bangladeshi police arrest 3 over 'anti-Islam' blogs

Bangladeshi police arrested three people from different parts of the capital Dhaka the night of 01 April for allegedly writing derogatory contents about Islam and the Prophet Mohammad on different internet platforms, The Daily Star reported online. The arrests follow a campaign by radical Islamist organisations threatening a non-stop shutdown and tougher agitation if atheist bloggers, as the organisations' leaders termed them, are not executed. Aggrieved by the arrests, bloggers and online activists announced that they would form a human chain in front of Raju Bhashkarja of Dhaka University
