Base station emissions report submitted to French govt

France's Committee on mobile equipment emissions (Copil), a multi-stakeholder body tasked with studying the possibility of reducing exposure from base stations, has submitted a report to the government showing that such a move would require a three-fold increase in the number of base stations to ensure satisfactory coverage quality. Invoking potential health risks, several associations have been calling for the exposure limit to be set at 0.6 Volts/meter, versus the current threshold of 40 V/m to 61 V/m at present.
