Batelco bids USD 1.4 bln for Singapore's M1 - report

Batelco of Bahrain has made a non-binding bid for USD 1.4 billion Singapore mobile carrier M1, reports Bloomberg, citing sources. The other bidders are a coal producer based in China's Shanxi province, China Broadband Capital and some private equity funds. While Shanxi Meijin Energy Company and China Broadband have submitted first-round offers, Batelco and some private equity funds have made non-binding bids.
