Bavaria doubles plans for free Wi-Fi to 20,000 spots by 2020

Bavarian finance minister Markus Soeder has announced a plan to provide 20,000 free WLAN hotspots across Bavaria by 2020, twice as many as originally planned, teltarif.de reports. In particular, 2,000 tourist sites are due to be equipped with hotspots. Universities and colleges will get access to the open network "BayernWLAN".
