BBC 3 to go online-only from 16 February

The BBC has confirmed the BBC 3 channel will stop broadcasting 16 February and switch to online-only programming. It also unveiled a new logo for BBC 3, with three white bars, the last of which an exclamation point, on a pink background. BBC Three's head of marketing, Nikki Carr said the first bar is "make me think", the second "make me laugh" and the third, "give me a voice", which is what the channel aims to do for young people. After the linear channel ends on 16 February, the BBC will run a promotional campaign on the broadcast slot for several weeks to highlight the availability of BBC 3
