BBC Director-General calls for review of regulation to help PSBs in digital age

BBC Director-General Tony Hall has defended the value of public service broadcasting (PSB) in the UK, arguing that British families still want programmes and services which reflect their lives and culture. He also suggested that regulation must also be reviewed to help PSBs respond in real-time and compete with rivals such as Netflix.
