BBC Sport registers record traffic from mobile devices

Thursday 6 February 2014 | 21:58 CET | News
BBC Sport registered the highest ever number of people accessing the site from mobile devices (3.3 million unique UK browsers) on Saturday 01 February. Growth was driven by traffic from the January football transfer window, a busy fixture list and the start of the RBS Six Nations. This contributed to BBC Sport's total of 6.9 million unique UK browsers on this day - with mobile and tablets accounting for a combined 68 percent of total coverage compared to 32 percent for PCs.
