BCE raises annual dividend by 5% after solid Q4

Bell Canada (BCE) has upped its annual dividend by 5 percent to CAD 3.17 per share, after delivering its best financial quarter in two years, well within expectations, CEO George Cope said. Customer growth for the fourth quarter was less strong however than in the previous quarter though losses also slowed. The total number of wireless, internet, TV and residential NAS customers at the end of the quarter amounted to 19,387,682, up 1.9 percent from the year before. Specifically, Bell added 143,114 wireless subscribers, including 121,334 postpaid and 21,334 prepaid, plus 29,627 new high-speed
