B.Com to test 5G in Rennes

B.Com, one of France's state-funded technology research institutes, announced it received the green light to test 5G services in Rennes, where it is based. The institute will use both public and private funding to carry out the planned 5G trials in the years up to 2020. B.Com's managing director Bertrand Guilbaud, quoted by Ouest-france.fr, revealed that the institute passed a public audit during July, gaining an additional EUR 20 million of funding on top of the EUR 60 million already secured for the project.
