BDUK brings 24 Mbps+ to 2.41 mln premises in just over 2 yrs

The Broadband Delivery UK programme has helped bring 24 Mbps+ broadband within reach of an 2.41 million premises between its the two and a quarter years since launch in December 2012 and the end of March 2015. BDUK aims to ensure that 90 percent of the population is covered by the end of 2016 and 95 percent a year later. These homes and businesses are in so-called intervention areas that would not have been connected commercially by major network operator due to their remoteness and low population density.
