BDUK brings broadband to over 4 mln premises

Over 4 million premises in the UK had a 'superfast' broadband service (over 24 Mbps) made available by the end of June as a result of Broadband Delivery UK-supported projects. According to the latest quarterly update on the BDUK, the state programme had granted to local authorities a cumulative GBP 492.6 million in cash terms up to the end of June, meaning 8,163 premises covered per GBP 1 million spent. This excludes premises with superfast broadband available from other sources.
