Be Mobile nears 300,000 customers mark

Botswana operator Be Mobile said that after a slowdown caused by the Sim registration exercise, its customer base has returned to growth and is now inching towards 300,000. Group GM, commercial service, Anthony Masunga told Mmegi the parastatal began to experience a declining rate of growth in its customer base late last year. Masunga said the decline was caused by the Sim card registration demanded by the Botswana Telecommunications Authority (BTA).
