Belarus mobile subscriber base exceeds 11 mln

Belarusian mobile subscribers totaled 11.3 million on 1 July, according to a statement from the Ministry of ICT. Mobile networks covered 97.9 percent of the country's area. A total 154 additional UMTS base stations were deployed across the country in the first half of the year, bringing the total number of UMTS base stations to 6,500.
