Bell Mobility to launch tri-band LTE-A in four cities

Canadian operator Bell Mobility has introduced tri-band LTE-Advanced, the fastest mobile technology available with up to 290 Mbps downloads, on the new Samsung S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 smartphones available from 21 August. Pre-orders are open. Bell will launch tri-band LTE-A in Halifax, Hamilton, Oakville and Toronto, with further expansion later. The carrier said that it currently offers 93 percent of the national population with technology supporting up to 75-150 Mbps downloads, with an expected average download speed of 12 to 40 Mbps.
