Benin govt wants public company SBIN to become country's third mobile network

Benin's government published a decision that will extend the remit of public company SBIN (Societe Beninoise d'Infrastructures Numeriques) in order to create a third network operating in the mobile market. Alongside the transformation of SBIN into a mobile operator, the government plans to finalise the search for a partner to manage the company, following the international tender process launched in 2019.
