Benin launches mobile number portability

Tuesday 2 October 2018 | 11:19 CET | News
Benin's national regulator Arcep announced that mobile number portability came into force on 28 September, successfully bringing to an end a project that started in mid-2017. The porting process will be managed by a subsidiary of Dutch company Porting Xs, which will be responsible for the centralised database operations. Under the conditions set by the regulator, customers will be able to port numbers if their mobile line has been active with one of the country's network operators for at least 90 days.
