Benin regulator sets QoS fines for Glo Mobile and MTN

Following the rulings published in June, Benin's telecom regulator Arcep has detailed the sanctions imposed on mobile network operators Glo Mobile and MTN Benin for not meeting their quality of service obligations, reports Agence Ecofin. The penalties amount to XOF 492.32 million for MTN and XOF 31.17 million for Glo Mobile, representing 0.3 percent of their respective revenues in 2016. The regulator has not imposed a fine on Moov, which like its two rivals had failed to meet the QoS standards set for its mobile services, and additionally had been blamed for not securing its network from
