Berlin Court rules against Google data protection policy

Wednesday 17 April 2019 | 10:20 CET | News
The Berlin Court of Appeal has ruled against part of the data protection guidelines of Google, Heise Online reports. Google used an explanatory statement in 2012 to explain the collection and use of the data of the users. For example, Google wanted to liaise personal information from different services and, in some cases, share the information with third parties. The court sees a violation of the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) because the privacy policy gives the impression that the data collection process takes place without the consent of the customers.
