Berlin metro stations near full Wi-Fi coverage

Monday 29 May 2017 | 13:31 CET | News
Wi-Fi is now available in 170 metro stations in Berlin, the transport operator BVG told news agency DPA. The company is moving faster than expected with the roll-out, with only three U-bahn stations now lacking the service. Those three are undergoing renovation and should be ready by year-end. The BVG said that over 10,000 passengers are connecting to the service during peak times and the number continues to grow. Around half the stations provide full coverage, while 88 only offer coverage on the platform.
