Berlin regional government office bans Uber

The Berlin State Office for Public Order Matters (LABO) said it has forbidden Uber from offering taxi services via its mobile application with immediate effect. LABO said this would be a breach of the Passenger Transport Act. Any breach could incur a fine of EUR 25,000. Uber has the right to appeal against the ruling, it said.
