Bezeq accused of abusing monopoly position

Israel's Antitrust Authority has notified incumbent operator Bezeq that it abused its monopoly position with a price squeeze on internet and telephony infrastructure services. In early 2011, Bezeq introduced an offer of internet access, telephony services and 200 call minutes at ILS 19.90 per month. At the same time, Bezeq charged customers who requested only an ADSL line for internet access an additional ILS 25 per month. Complaints from rivals, who were forced to pass the ADSL-only charge on to their customers, lead the Antitrust Authority to open an inquiry. Bezeq must respond by 03 April
