Bezeq will not deploy fibre throughout Israel

Thursday 17 January 2019 | 10:08 CET | News
Israeli operator Bezeq says its executives has held a meeting with Ministry of Communications representatives to present its plans for deploying fibre-optic infrastructure, Globes reported. Bezeq said that the demand for universal deployment based on fibre optics could not be fulfilled. It said that it planned to combine a number of technologies as the basis for its plan, and would deploy fibre-optic infrastructure in 80-90 percent of communities in Israel, while upgrading speeds in the others using other technologies, because of technical difficulties.
