Bharti Airtel's quarterly revenues jump 15%, boosted by 22% mobile business growth

Mobile revenues jumped 21.8 percent, mainly boosted by Airtel's increasing 4G customer base. ARPU for the quarter was INR 154, compared to INR 123 in the fourth quarter of 2019. The India Mobile business turned EBIT positive. The number of 4G data customers increased by 12.5 million in the three months to 31 March 2020, while India mobile data traffic jumped 74.2 percent to 6,010 PBs in the quarter as compared to 3,451 PBs in the corresponding quarter of 2019. Capex investments reached INR 253.6 billion during the year.
