Big Switch triples FY revenues

US data centre networking specialist Big Switch Networks reported results for its full year to end July, with revenue growth tripling on the back of a rapidly growing geographical footprint, on product innovation, and on partners such as Dell EMC, Edgecore and HPTE reselling its Big Switch software. Revenue jumped 115 percent from the year before, fuelled by growth in the US, with the Americas leaping 125 percent. In the year, 

Big Switch said it deepened partnerships with Dell EMC, Red Hat, VMware, and over 30 other technology partners, and initiated partnerships with HPE, Nutanix and others. It also continued to focus on product innovation and industry thought leadership.

The company recently raised USD 30.7 million worth of new funding, which it said it will use to support product innovation, continued geographical expansion and to up its headcount.
