BlackBerry 10 to be sold by four Brazilian operators

Monday 25 February 2013 | 13:05 CET | News
BlackBerry has announced that the BlackBerry 10 line of devices will be sold in Brazil by Telefonica/Vivo, Oi, TIM and Claro. Adriano Lino, manager of market intelligence for BlackBerry Latin America, said it was still negotiating with Nextel, which is controlled by the holding company Nii, for the adoption of the device for the 3G service launched by Nextel at the end of last year. The company does not have a specific date for the launch in Brazil. In Latin America, the new devices go on sale on 12 March in Venezuela. The goal, said Lino, is to reach one new country in the region per week.
