BlackBerry plans bacteria-free smartphone for hospitals

BlackBerry may develop a bacteria-free smartphone for the healthcare sector, Bloomberg reports, citing company CEO John Chen. "Health-care workers have to be worried about one less thing to wipe down" with a bacteria-free handset, Chen said. The statement was made at a hospital north of Toronto where BlackBerry started a clinical alerts pilot. According to Chen, BlackBerry has not started developing the bacteria-free smartphone yet.
