BlackBerry posts FY net loss of USD 5.9 billion

BlackBerry has reported revenue of almost USD 976 million for the fourth quarter ending 01 March, down 18 percent or USD 217 million from around USD 1.2 billion in the previous quarter and down 64 percent or USD 2.7 billion from a year earlier. The revenue breakdown for the quarter was around 37 percent for hardware, 56 percent for services and 7 percent for software and other revenue. In Q4, BlackBerry generated hardware revenue on around 1.3 million smartphones, compared to around 1.9 million in Q3.
