BlackRock to invest EUR 50 mln in Italy's Linkem - report

US investment company BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, is ready to invest up to EUR 50 million in Italian wireless broadband operator Linkem, reports Corriere della Sera. Linkem's network currently covers around 60 percent of the Italian population, including large cities such as Rome, Bologna, Palermo, Bari, Turin and Naples. It recently applied to the European Investment Bank for a loan of EUR 60 million and intends to expand its coverage to around 80 percent of Italian households by mid-2017, said the report.
