Blinkx grows H1 revenues 36% on booming online ad industry

Internet video platform Blinkx reported first half revenues soaring 36 percent year-on-year to USD 111.5 million, boosted by growth of the online advertising industry, especially the fastest growing video advertising segment, and the traditional summer seasonality. The adjusted EBITDA rose 76 percent to 18.18 million and adjusted earnings per share lifted to USD 3.33 from 2.24 the year earlier. CEO Brian Mukherjee said the opportunity for blinkx lies in expanding demand, content and audiences. The company expects to achieve this through sales, product innovation, and the capture of new and emerging revenue streams.
