BMW to open R&D centre for self-driving cars

BMW will launch a research and development centre for automated driving technology in Munich from mid-2017. The centre will employ over 2,000 people, allowing developers to create, test and implement innovations on the same campus. A number of separate research teams currently working from different locations will be brought together at the new location.
