Bolivia achieves 37% mobile telephony penetration

The mobile telephony penetration rate in Bolivia has reached 37 percent, with 5 million users, according to data from the Regulation and Supervision Authority for Telecommunications and Transport (ATT), reports El Deber. The Population and Housing Census from 2012 showed that those aged 19-70 years -the most inclined to use mobile phones- amount to 7.5 million people, so 2.5 million are still excluded. The total population of Bolivia amounts to 10 million.
