Bolivia expects 65% of TKSAT to be in use by end- 2015

Bolivia's Space Agency (ABE) expects to end 2015 with at least two third of the country's TKSAT-1 (Tupac Katari) satellite capacity in use, La Razon reports, citing ABE director Ivan Zambrana. By the end of 2014, local customers were already using one third of the satellite's capacity. The local customers include state-run telecoms operator Entel, state oil firm YPFB, state TV channel Bolivia TV, the Education and Health ministries, a private TV channel, mobile operator Viva and the Army. ABE expects to obtain revenues of USD 15-20 million in 2015 from the provision of telecoms services
