Bolivia expects to launch second satellite by 2021

The Bolivian space agency (ABE) expects to launch a second communications satellite into space in 2021, reports La Razon, citing ABE director Ivan Zambrana. The new satellite, dubbed Tupac Katari II, will cost in the region of USD 200 million and will aim to serve the entire region, not just Bolivia. "We have already approached countries such as France, China, India and the US," said Zambrana. The country's first Tupac Katari has raised close to USD 50 million from services provided to operators since its launch in December 2013, added the ABE director. He said the satellite is now at 70
