Bolivia to launch first telecom satellite in December

Bolivia will launch its first satellite, dubbed Tupac Katari, on 20 December this year, Notimex reports, citing Ivan Zambrana, director of the Bolivian Space Agency (ABE). The construction of the satellite is almost complete, with final testing to be rolled out soon. The Tupac Katari satellite will be launched from the Jiuquan space centre, in northwest China. According to Zambrana, the Tupac Katari satellite will start commercial operations in three months following its launch.
