Bolivia's Tupac Katari satellite hits USD 100 mln revenues since launch

Friday 12 October 2018 | 10:25 CET | News
Bolivia's Tupac Katari satellite has raised USD 100 million in revenues since launching in December 2013, reports Telesemana, citing Bolivian space agency (ABE) director Ivan Zambrana. The USD 302 million satellite has now recovered a third of its construction costs and is on course to cover the entire investment by the end of its useful life of 15 years, said Zambrana, adding that the Tupac Katari has helped operators connect millions of residents in rural areas throughout Bolivia.
