Bonn utility tests fibre installation through waterpipes

The public utility company in Bonn (SWB) and the Eifel-Ahr waterworks company have announced that they are testing the installation of fibre cable through existing water pipes. In order to avoid opening up road surfaces, the fibre cable will access the building via the water supply. This new procedure would save around 70 percent of the costs that normally occur through underground construction.
