Botnet Meris causes largest DDoS attack ever at Yandex

Russian internet search engine Yandex announced that it stopped what is thought to be the largest DDoS attack ever, worldwide. The source of the attack was the new botnet Meris. A scope of the attack exceeded 20 million requests per second.
