Botswanan parliamentary committee calls BPC-Liquid Telecom joint venture unlawful

Botswana's Parliamentary Committee on Communications Works, Transport and Technology has declared that the partnership between Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) and Liquid Telecom is unlawful, reports Mmegi. BPC owns and operates an optical fibre cable network on some of its high voltage transmission lines. Committee chairman Samuel Rantuana questioned the logic behind the venture, which allows Liquid Telecom to to use BPC infrastructure.
