Bouygues Telecom suspends NFC programme - report

French mobile and broadband operator Bouygues Telecom suspended its over 8 year old NFC programme at the end of 2013 due to its difficult financial situation, people familiar with the matter told NFC Times. There will be no technology updates, national customer support or promotions. The top two employees responsible for NFC operations, Laurent Julien and Susanne Molkentin-Lacuve, have left Bouygues or are in the process of leaving.
