Bouygues Telecom unveils first site under RAN-sharing scheme

Friday 29 July 2016 | 17:50 CET | News
French operator Bouygues Telecom has opened the first 3G site under the RAN-sharing scheme agreed with the government to cover white areas. Situated in Viella (Hautes-Pyrenees region), the 3G site will support the services of France's four mobile network operators. Announcing the launch, Bouygues Telecom also indicated that it is on track to release 800 of its 3G sites under the RAN-sharing scheme, opening them up to rival network operators by mid-2017 (at least 80 percent of them by end-2016).
