Bouygues to boost FTTH service to 400 Mbps - report

French operator Bouygues Telecom plans to raise its FTTH peak download speed to 400 Mbps at the end of June from 200 Mbps at present, according to an internal document cited by 01net. The service, offering a 50 Mbps top upload speed, is expected to cost EUR 25.99 a month for the first year, rising to EUR 37.99 thereafter. There will be no contract tie-in period or service start fee. CEO Olivier Roussat alluded to the new service in an interview on BFM TV in which he said that the operator would reveal a new internet access service on 26 June that will "break the rules in fibre" and "free up
