Bouygues to provide mobile network for Medissimo e-pillbox

Thursday 5 June 2014 | 09:10 CET | News
Connected pill dispenser company Medissimo has selected French operator Bouygues Telecom to carry secure data over its GPRS mobile network. Medissimo's new generation Imedipac pill box will link wirelessly to the company's secure platform, recording medicating events or alerting the patient and contacts if necessary. Due to launch at the end of the year, it uses an NFC chip, mobile modem, with sound and light signals to remind patients to take their medicine.
