Brazil and Chile to eliminate international roaming

The Chamber of Deputies of Brazil's Parliament has approved the Additional Protocol to the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Brazil and Chile, which provides for the elimination of international roaming charges for data and mobile telephony, according to Telesintese. However, there is concern over competitive issues as Claro and Vivo, for example, may offer better roaming conditions because they have operations in other Latin American countries.
